Maucher Jenkins Focus on Positive Change for the Environment

Maucher Jenkins opt for an electric car charger at their premises in Farnham, with a 3-phase charger for a much faster charge rate.

“Our focus on sustainable technologies is not just about contributing to positive change for the environment, which is a responsibility we all share. It is also a sound business choice for Maucher Jenkins – for us, this is about future-proofing our business too.”
— Hugh Dunlop

THE CHALLENGE

Broadmede House in Farnham is shared by four businesses and chargers have already been installed on the premises, so ensuring the additional installation at the house was consistent with the existing chargers was important for the landlord.

Checking capacity was also critical i.e. checking there was enough supply for a new charger, should they be used all at the same time.

THE SOLUTION

The solution was a Rolec SECURICHARGE:EV Superfast free-to-use electric car charger. Type 2 , Mode 3 charger.

Installation

Having worked closely with the landlords and Maucher Jenkins to work out the best solution for the premises, while meeting with the needs of the organisation, UK Green Energy Installations suggested installing a 3-phase car charger, allowing two cars to be charged simultaneously.

With the priority to get the units up and working without delay, some installers can take short cuts with the detail such as the alignment and even compromise on tidy wiring. UK Green Energy Installations delivers quality with every installation and this was no exception. The image below shows the cabling for the charger, aligned with the existing piping for aesthetics.

The Rolec SECURICHARGE:EV benefits with a simple key to activate the charger, so employees can simply ‘plug-and-play’, rather than using a mobile app to arrange charge and payment.
